EA Play Event
In the world of video games there is not many more recognizable brands than EA. Sidle Entertainment was given the opportunity to be a part of the 2nd EA Play event. Needless to say, we were thrilled to be asked to be a part of an event that would be broadcast to the world. Our drumline has done hundreds of gigs and this ranks right near the top as far as how many people we would really be performing for. When you consider the crowd at the event and the millions of people that would be watching the live stream, we knew this was going to be special.
The event itself was amazing. It took place at LA Palladium theater in Hollywood and EA did a great job building a new world for this weekend. There were televisions and gaming consoles everywhere, giant projector screens inside and out, a beautifully designed stage, and even a giant Titan replica. Our drumline was a part of the design for how they would kick off the whole event. We got to work with some amazing people at EA who gave us their original ideas that evolved over an extended planning process to have the maximum effect on kicking off the event and introducing the CEO Andrew Wilson. In fact, the last few notes and edits came from Andrew himself, who we came to find is a talented musician himself.
The final product was very well received and many of our performers started receiving texts asking if it was us they just saw on their computer while tuning into the broadcast. Our team at Sidle Entertainment loves to be involved in the collaboration of any type of event. Especially when the people we get to work with are just as passionate about their craft as we are with ours, it makes for a very enjoyable experience throughout.
